As a specialist in Japan, one of the hardest parts of my job is to explore the country's unique and luxurious accommodation off the beaten track.
With so much to see and do, it is a matter of personal preference to stay in one of the best accommodations during your stay in Tokyo. Hotels in Tokyo are a great value, based on my personal experience of traveling to Japan and Asia in general. Personally, I stayed at the Nikko Tokio Hotel in Asakusa and highly recommend this accommodation. Hotel prices in Tokyo are also a real bargain compared to Hong Kong, especially compared to other major tourist destinations in the world. 200 USD per night for a hotel in London, you must pay at least 250 USD per night In Hong Kong, you get the same service and value, while in a Tokyo hotel you can only pay USD 100 per day.
If you are unable to book the hotel you want in Tokyo, check your hotel's reservation policy and try to cancel just before the cancellation fee takes effect, or check the hotel's reservation policy.
